Giving Thanks

We had a nice, quiet and calm Thanksgiving this year with our little family and my best friend Christy and her family.  Christy is still living in Sacramento but her son and his wife and their little baby live in San Diego.  Shane & I decided that we would host Thanksgiving Dinner so that Christy could head down and see her sweet little grandson without Alex and Britt having to make the eight hour drive to see her. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful friend in my life who has been there for me for everything over the past 15 years!!!
Cortney and her boyfriend, Mike. Christy's grandson Gavin. The kids playing Atari ~ anyone remember that from when we were kids? They thought it was hilarious!! My bestie Christy.
Shane did most of the cooking this year and it was all delicious.  Our big ol' bird in the oven. Miss Emma helping out in the kitchen.  Our place cards at the "Adult Table"...only adults get to eat on my china which is actually my mom's china so we have to be extremely careful with it.  Chelle taking a break from festivities to pose for a picture!!!

And, of course, no holiday is complete without a video call to Grandma & Grandpa Roberts.  We try to call when we know everyone will be there.  We were blessed this year and were able to talk to G&G, Aunt Heidi, Rachel, Kari, Baby Dani, Uncle Juts and Uncle Glenn.  What a fabulous holiday we had and I am so thankful to have the most amazing life!!!
