Helping Hands

I love, love, love the time of year when Mormon Helping Hands rolls around.  We get together with the families in our Ward and Stake and we beautify the world around us.
This year we went back to Castaic Lake to plant plants, plant trees and paint the railings at the boat ramps.  The kids did a great job and we got so much accomplished.
Shane digging holes for the plants.
Emma and Emily were going to dig this big rock out of the planting area no matter what!! They worked on it for about an hour and then finally gave up and headed out to help paint.
The Young Men & Women work on painting the boat ramp rails a beautiful blue!!  The only problem they ran into while painting was the wind.  The harder the wind blew, the more the water sloshed and washed off the paint just as fast as they were putting it on. It was pretty funny to watch them try to paint fast enough to get the paint on before the next wave of water hit!!
The end of the day brought lots of tired kids and a very blue hand which ended up on my behind, twice!!! I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve our community alongside our Ward Family & Friends!!
