America's Birthday

We started the morning off with a fabulous pancake breakfast with our ward family.  The food was delicious and the decorations were amazing, I loved the decor so much that I managed to put a few in my bag on the way out the door!!

After breakfast the Boy Scouts, including Tristan, did a flag ceremony and then we had a few men who are in the Army speak to us.  It was a great tribute to all the men and women who have or are currently serving our country.  Tristan really enjoyed listening to the speakers, especially because joining the army is what he wants to do after high school!

All the littles get ready for the Annual Bike Parade!! It was a little bit crazy with so many kids but I think we only had two or three accidents, and luckily, none of them involved my kids!!

Emma decorated her own bike and I have to say, she did a pretty fantastic job!!

The teenagers thought they were too "old" for the bike parade but didn't mind sitting around blowing bubbles. Where's the logic in that? We had such a fun morning and it was the perfect start to what would soon become the perfect day of celebrating this amazing country that we live in!!
