A Weekend Getaway

Shane & I decided that we needed a break from life last weekend. Uncle Brian and Aunt Bree were so awesome and took all three kids for us so we could get away. We ended up going to the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah. It was so much fun. Neither of us have ever been up to Midway so it was a new experience for us both. The resort was more than we could have hoped for. There was an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, lots of sports to do, bike riding, and a giant crater to swim in. And our room came complete with a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub!!!
We didn't realize that the resort had a golf course and were bummed that we didn't bring our clubs. The course was amazing and we are hoping to get back up there to play a round or two before the snow comes.
This is me standing on top of the crater. One of the big attractions here is to go swimming or diving inside the crater. We walked down into it but didn't take the plunge!! The water is a warm 85 degrees and stays that warm all year long. The kids would have loved it.
Before we headed home we stopped by the resort spa and had massages. A great way to end our relaxing weekend!! I am so thankful that we are able to get away and spend time putting the romance back into our marriage. I am also so grateful to be married to such a wonderful guy. I love him more and more each day!!
