It is a rare occasion when we are at our own house for Christmas Eve but I was excited to spend a quiet evening with my own family. We invited the Sister Missionaries from our church to spend the evening with us. We had the whole night planned with dinner and activities and even though it wasn't the quiet evening that I pictured it was definitely a great night!!
My Willow Tree Nativity that Shane bought me a few years back is my absolute favorite Christmas decoration. It sits by the front door so that we can see it and remember Christ and the reason for the season every day.
Shane and Tristan working on our Christmas Eve Dinner. The kids planned the menu and it was fabulous. We had Seafood Paella, Plain Paella(one of the Sister Missionaries is a vegetarian), Spanish Tortilla, Homemade French Bread, Veggies and Sparkling Cider. Delicious!!
After dinner we settled down on the couch to watch one of our favorite videos - Reflections of Christ.
Then it was time to decorate our Sugar Cookies so that we had something to leave out for the Jolly Fat Man!!!
We love having the Sister Missionaries over for dinner. They always bring joy and happiness into our home and we are thankful to spend time with them while they are in our area.
Christmas Eve Jammies - you can never forget these important items on the Eve of Christmas!
Throwing out our Reindeer Food. I have to say that we put out enough oats to attract the reindeer for the next ten years or so. Hopefully they eat it all so we don't have to clean it up in the morning!!
Cookies and Milk for Santa - a tradition that will go on forever.
And the stockings were hung by the chimney with care as we sent all the wee ones to bed upstairs.
